***** Wharf of the Week: Canary Wharf*****
So I thought I would have a little look into proposals for Battersea which may make life there even sweeter...
1. The US Embassy is to move from Mayfair to Nine Elms. Does this mean Obama might come and say hello? He is more than welcome to drop by for a cuppa if he uses London heliport...
2. I have read that Treasury Holdings have relased a £4billion masterplan for Battersea PowerStation and the 38acres of surrounding land. It may contain new homes, shopping malls a hotel... and maybe, just maybe a tube! A proposed Northern line stop in South London. I won't hold my breath but that would be pretty swell.
3. Battersea Dog and Cat home is undergoing a re-fit and I think they're building a new cattery. The boards outside are decked with pictures of kittehs. Very lol-cat and makes the bus ride to work more adorable!
Battersea is quite lovely a place already. Being in South London it is fairly bus-tastic but I feel very lucky to live on the river and see the sun set over the Thames and the ducks, Herrons and Goslings paddling in it...
